Opportunities to Become Involved

There are many ways to engage with TPSA. In addition to joining the Slack channels and working groups, we also many opportunities that we are in the process of developing. Some of those opportunities include interest or affinity groups, and our volunteer, consulting, and mentoring programs. Check back for when we roll out those programs and activities. 

We currently have the following ways to become involved:

  • Apply to become a Slack Channel Host: A channel host is a person who helps prompt and guide discussion and engagement within TSPA's Slack Community. An ideal host has fun coming up with discussion prompts, naturally identifies relevant news or articles to share, and has expertise or interest in the channel topic. Application Here.
  • Join the Trust & Safety Coffee Hours: Coffee Hours are one-on-one conversations designed to provide mentorship to current and aspiring trust and safety professionals. Hosts are volunteering their time and expertise to offer advice to job seekers and T&S professionals. Click here to learn more about how you can recieve mentorship or volunteer to be a host!
  • Subscribe to Our Newsletter: Sign up here to receive our monthly newsletter, Now Safe for Work (NSFW), where we share everything going on at TSPA as we continue to expand our membership and develop our offerings. You can also find an archive of our previous newsletters here.
  • Attend a T&S EventThe TSPA events page aims to connect trust & safety professionals to workshops, seminars, and events that are relevant to their practice; some are hosted by TSPA and TSF, while others are not. All listed events are open to the public unless otherwise noted, and are subject to change. For the most up-to-date information, please check the full event details linked at the bottom of each listing. Past events hosted or co-hosted by TSPA are listed here; we link to recordings if available.
